MUTABLE LINES: THE MUTABILIS PRESS CHAPBOOK CONTEST SUBMISSION CALL (Spring 2024)

Mutabilis Press is excited to announce a new chapbook contest! We’re exploring the chapbook space as a way to complement our anthologies, bringing to bear our reputation for high-quality publications and our desire to highlight both new and established voices.

The series, collectively called Mutable Lines, aims to publish multiple authors over time. The series title acknowledges the many lines all around us: lines of poetry, lines of communication, the through-line of consistently excellent poetry in the ever-broadening Mutabilis Press community.

To that end, we are interested in reading your very best 20-30 pages of poetry (not necessarily 20-30 poems), centered around a specific theme of your own choosing. You are not limited in genre or style, though we might favor collections focused by idea or purpose, poems in conversation with each other. Each poet will propose a title for their own individual chapbook.

This contest is inclusive: open to poets with long or short publication resumés. The deadline is April 30, 2024, and the submission fee of $15 will go entirely toward the cost of producing the contest winner's books. Mutabilis Press will also partner with the winning author to promote their new publication. We look forward to reading your projects!
